Spartan Executive NC17634 helps the Lighthouse Foundation raise over $50,000

The Lighthouse Foundation is a Christian outreach organization meeting the needs of impoverished individuals and families in northern Allegheny and Butler Counties in western Pennsylvania.

On May 16, 2015, The Lighthouse celebrated its 30 Year Anniversary at The Butler County Airport. Over 200 guests attended the event which combined unique themed entertainment and a tribute to The Lighthouse Foundation’s 30 year history of serving the community.

A 1939 Spartan Executive Aircraft on display was the highlight of the evening. This airplane, owned by Jim and Anita Savage, was used during WWII and was the backdrop for several famous photos, including one of Betty Grable standing on the aircraft’s wing. Guests were afforded the unique opportunity to sit in the cockpit and be photographed with “Betty Grable” played by Victoria Smouse, Director of Programs & Community Outreach.
