NC17634 was purchased in 2008 after it had been damaged in a landing accident. At the time of purchase, it was not flyable and it had been many years since the airplane and the various systems and equipment had been updated. The approach taken was to first get the airplane flying and to then perform the necessary upgrades, one project at a time, during the winter months.
